Cows enjoy more time on pasture

On average, Organic Valley cows spend more than 50% more time outdoors on pasture than required by USDA organic standards. And thanks to the large size of our farms, Organic Valley’s organic cows have plenty of space to roam and move freely compared to conventional cows. We believe cows should live as nature intended – grazing outside on fresh organic pasture.

Working in harmony with nature

We believe nature knows best. That’s why Organic Valley farms follow organic practices. We raise animals without hormones or antibiotics, and nothing they eat has ever been sprayed with synthetic pesticides. This helps extend the cows’ natural lifespan and results in pure, wholesome milk you can feel good about serving to the people you love.

Smaller herds, a lot more love

Conventional dairy operations can have herds of thousands of cows. At Organic Valley, we believe smaller is better. The average herd size on our farms is just 78 cows – which means every cow gets the individual care and attention she deserves. That’s another reason why our cows are so content and their milk tastes so good.
