5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD USE ORGANIC PRODUCTS

  1. Because getting rid of the bad makes more room for the good

Scientific studies show that organic foods contain more antioxidants and other nutrients, such as essential omega-3 fatty acids and CLA. In addition, organic crops have been proven to contain significantly lower levels of cadmium (a toxic metal comparable to lead and mercury). Organic food really is better for you. And it tastes better, too.

  1. Because chemicals are harmful to you

Organic farmers use sustainable pest management methods. Meanwhile, non-organic farms rely on toxic pesticides and herbicides. These chemicals are truly harmful to wildlife and human health, contaminating our food, air and water, and accumulating in our cells. Organic farming practices strictly prohibit the use of these toxic substances – keeping insects like bees happier and our food more nutritious.

  1. Because cows and children should grow at their own pace

Synthetic hormones and antibiotics are frequently used on animals in non-organic farms to alter their reproductive cycles and speed up their growth, forcing cows to produce more milk than they naturally would. We believe cows are healthiest and happiest when they are allowed to live without being pumped full of chemicals — and that’s when they produce the highest-quality milk we are proud of.

  1. Because antibiotic-resistant infections are very real

When non-organic livestock farmers feed animals antibiotics to keep them from getting sick, the drugs kill many germs – but not all of them. The surviving bacteria continue to multiply, leading to antibiotic-resistant infections, a serious threat to both animals and humans. Instead of relying on antibiotics, our organic farmers use natural, holistic approaches to promote and maintain animal health — helping keep everyone healthier in the process.

  1. Because we’ve all heard “GMOs are harmful”, but do you know why?

That’s because genetically modified crops are a relatively recent invention with potentially harmful effects on ecosystems as well as on human and animal health. We still don’t know much about them, and organic standards prohibit the use of genetically modified seeds or animals — including cloned species.
