Daioni is a famous organic fresh milk product in the United Kingdom, certified by The Soil Association. So who is The Soil Association? And what are this organization’s organic certification standards?

The Soil Association was founded in 1964 and is one of the leading organic certification bodies in the United Kingdom, certifying organic production and sustainable development for many different product and service lines such as drinks and food, farms, cosmetics… Certification from The Soil Association follows extremely strict standards and is trusted by millions of consumers and businesses around the world.
To receive organic certification from The Soil Association, a product has to go through a very strict process in which The Soil Association will review, inspect, and license each step of the production process, from organic farms, to processing and packaging, and finally to the distribution stage to consumers in accordance with organic product standards. After obtaining organic certification from The Soil Association, a product is required to place on its label the European Union organic logo in the shape of a leaf.
The standards to be certified organic by The Soil Association comply with the organic certification regulations of the European Union. In particular, for food and drink products, The Soil Association also has its own specific guidance and regulations on organic certification:
– Products containing 95–100% organic ingredients:
Article 40.10.4 – The Soil Association: To be labelled as “Organic”, a product must contain:
+ At least 95% (by weight) of the ingredients must be organic
+ The remaining 5% non-organic ingredients must comply with the list allowed by The Soil Association
Article 40.10.5 – The Soil Association: Regulations for products with less than 95% organic ingredients: These products may not be labelled “Organic” and are not allowed to use the European Union organic logo in the shape of a leaf.
– Organic ingredients can be listed in the Ingredients section, but must be listed accurately and not exaggerated.
– Non-organic ingredients must be clearly listed with the same font size, style, and colour (not smaller or less prominent) as the organic ingredients.
Daioni is certified organic by The Soil Association and is allowed to use the European Union organic leaf logo for its whole milk and semi-skimmed milk products, which reach 100% organic ingredients, and for its strawberry, chocolate, and banana flavoured milks, which contain over 95% organic ingredients. At this point, mothers can be completely assured and confident in the quality of Daioni! Let’s choose Daioni for the health and nutrition of your family!
