WHAT DOES DEMETER ORGANIC CERTIFICATION MEAN?

Vietnamese consumers have long been familiar with organic certifications such as USDA Organic (United States) and EU Organic (Europe). However, few people know that there is an even stricter standard than both — the Demeter certification, managed by Demeter International and recognized worldwide for its rigor and reliability.

Demeter is considered the oldest (over 80 years) and most demanding organic certification. Only farms following the Bio-Dynamic agricultural model — a completely closed-loop farming system — are eligible to receive the Demeter label. While other organic certifications only require compliance during cultivation and harvesting, Demeter-certified products must meet strict biological and environmentally friendly standards from the farm all the way through processing before reaching the market.

Another important point is that Demeter products are only released to the market when they are truly valuable and beneficial. Because of this, Demeter-certified items are not sold widely but are available mainly in specialized organic stores or retailers with a high concentration of organic goods.

Lakewood is one of the rare brands on the market to achieve Demeter certification. To earn this recognition, Lakewood Organic’s farmers must operate their farms as independent living organisms: each stage of fruit cultivation must form a natural cycle where nothing goes to waste, ensuring the most natural growth environment possible. This results in Lakewood Organic juices possessing an exceptionally pure and refined flavor.
